Formally Run Orewa, the Hibiscus Half Marathon on 18 October 2026 is now part of the Auckland Half Marathon Series 26/27.

Based from Metro Park, Millwater, the Half Marathon course highlights include the Orewa River and the Te Ara Tahuna Walkway. The new course takes runners into the heart of downtown Orewa for a thrilling run beside one of Auckland's longest beaches - using the just-completed Millennium Walkway - passing under and along the Hibiscus Coast Highway and through beautiful local streets and parks.

As well as the Half Marathon, the event includes 5km and 10km distances, plus a Kids' event.
