The Canterbury Adventure Race on 5 September 2026 is a team rogaine event offering three categories; 3 hour, 6 hour, and 9 hour.

The details on this page are based on the previous event and subject to change; we will update this listing as more information comes to hand.

The 3 hour event is designed for families or beginners keen to try an adventure race. You will need to be able to jog/walk approximately 6km off road, and mountain bike approximately 12km on forestry roads or singletrack.

The 6 hour event is designed to be achievable for competitors with a reasonable level of fitness and some navigational competency. You will need to be able to jog/walk approximately 10km off road, and mountain bike approximately 30km on 4WD trails and singletrack.

To complete the 9 hour event you will need to be able to run/jog approx. 20km off-road, and mountain bike approx. 50km on 4WD trails and singletrack. Competitive teams who are aiming to collect all the controls may end up doing more than the stated distances.
