The next Southern Lakes 12/24 Hour Adventure Race is from 27 to 29 November 2026 at Moa Creek in Otago.

This is a navigation race where teams are supplied with maps to check point locations. There is a race guide to assist your team to navigate through the race as they explore an exciting, vast, undulating landscape.

Disciplines may include kayaking, rafting, trekking/running, abseiling and mountain biking. Competitors race in teams of either 2 or 4.

The race start times vary from year to year with the 12HR being predominantly raced during daylight hours, and the 24HR event featuring some hours of night racing.
