The endless race
Two New Zealanders devised an ultra run that they claim is too hard for anyone to finish. In January, people from around the world lined up to prove them wrong. The entrants didn't succeed. NZ Geographic has the story of this year's Revenant Ulta Race. Next year's race starts on January 17th, and entries open on May 1st.
A pub where you can exchange your miles for pints
New Balance have opened the doors to its first ever Pub, "The Runaway", on Charing Cross road in London, where the currency used is miles run and logged on Strava. Find out more in this article at Runners World.

UK Metro Magazine talks to Ella Foote, an outdoor swimmer who braves the cold year-round and couldn’t care less how you think she looks in a swimming costume who says that "People say I am fearless. But that is rubbish. I am human".

- Stadium Challenge in Christchurch scheduled for 17 March has been cancelled due to low entry numbers
- Cancer Society Relay for Life: Hawkes Bay scheduled for 23 March has been cancelled due to low entry numbers
- Mt Albert Mud Run has changed from 19 to 26 May, and entries are now open
- Dunedin Marathon has changed from 8 to 1 September to avoid a date clash with another event
- Kawerau King of the Mountain is on 2 November, not 26 October as originally listed (it was showing on their website as 26 October until last week; I checked Facebook and they'd announced it as 2 November there at the end of January)
