City to Newmarket Campuses, Auckland University, Auckland

Rogaine Road/Path/Park

University Metrogaine was created to link the 3 University Campuses - City Campus, Grafton and Newmarket. It is open to students and staff of Auckland University.

Metrogaining is a sport of urban cross-country navigation, involving both route planning and navigating between check points. Teams of 4 will be given a map and challenged to get around as many checkpoints as they can within their given time limits. Features of this event are teamwork, endurance, competition and appreciation for the University environment.

The event is open to both students and staff with 90 minute and 3 hour options available. Participants will be encouraged to represent their faculty, hall or student group and dress up to bring a fun element to the event. Teams will send their answers at each checkpoint by text message and progress will be electronically tracked.
