The Lydiard Legend Marathon, Arthur's Half Marathon and Titirangi 10K and 5K on Saturday, 12 September 2015 is an annual running event, following the famous Waiatarua route used by Arthur Lydiard.

Please note that The Legend will not be run in 2016.

Lydiard used this tough, hilly route to train his prodigies; elite athletes such as Sir Peter Snell and Sir Murray Halberg, and others such as the Arch Jelley trained Sir John Walker.
