The Human v Horse Race on Saturday, 14 April 2018 is a marathon is an event over steep hill country terrain in the back blocks of Taihape, with a slight twist - it's a race between two legs and four!
2018 sees the addition of the Half Human vs Horse, which covers the second loop of the full course, and a new location at Ohinewairua Station, near Taihape. This is just 30 minutes as the crow flys from the old stomping grounds with a course to keep you on your toes!
The race is a figure of eight course where runners run concurrently with horses, with a staggered start time which will be adjusted for the results. Good sportmanship between runners and riders is expected at all times to make it an enjoyable event for runners, riders and volunteers!
