The Great PukeokaHu man v Horse Race is a marathon is an event over steep hill country terrain in the back blocks of Taihape, with a slight twist - it's a race between two legs and four!

The race is a figure of eight course where runners run concurrently with horses, with a staggered start time which will be adjusted for the results. Good sportmanship between runners and riders is expected at all times to make it an enjoyable event for runners, riders and volunteers!
