The Tai Tapu Run Festival is Canterbury's biggest little run festival, with 15km and 10km races, and a kids 1km dash.
This event was previously known as the New Balance 15km Road Race. It was first run in 1979 and has seen many directors and locations, the most recent being Tai Tapu school. It was renamed in 2016 to the Tai Tapu Run Festival.
Proceeds from the race go into such things as childrens athletics, providing subsidies for top athletes to travel to national races and the upkeep of the Rawiti Domain facilities.
