Port Chalmers to Dunedin

The Port Road Race is a 12km race from Port Chalmers to Dunedin.

There is a $2000 prize for the first runner to break the 1974 course record of 37:40. There is also a major spot prize of a $250 voucher for Shoe Clinic Dunedin, and 20 $50 spot prizes.

This event has been held every year since 1902, except during and after World War I, (1915-20) and in 2013 when the road was blocked by a landslip.



Location map

The start is on the corner of Borlases Road and SH88 in Port Chalmers and finish on Butts Road opposite the University Oval along the road from the Caledonian Ground.
