The Port Road Race on Sunday, 4 February 2018 is a 12km race from Port Chalmers to Dunedin.

The 2018 Port Chalmers to Dunedin Road Race is run in conjunction with the New Zealand Masters Games 12km Road Race.

Entry is open to both registered and non-registered athletes. A sealed handicap race will apply to registered athletes only. Athletes need to be 17 years or over on race day. Separate individual and team results will be declared for men and women from Athletics Otago registered race entrants, but races will be held concurrently.

This event has been held every year since 1902, except during and after World War I, (1915-20) and in 2013 when the road was blocked by a landslip.



Location map

The start is on the corner of Borlases Road and SH88 in Port Chalmers and finish on Butts Road opposite the University Oval along the road from the Caledonian Ground.
