The Pulse Energy Oparara Wilderness Trail Run returns in 2018 on Saturday, 21 April, running through the Oparara Valley, Kahurangi National Park in Karamea.

You will run through regenerating native forest and a stunning, untouched rain forest dominated by huge rimu, totara and kahikatea dripping with moss and lichen and allowing only dappled light to reach the forest floor. Don't be surprised to see weka, black robins and other native birds along the track for this wilderness area is abundant with bird life!

The race briefing and finish for both events is at the Karamea Domain. 35km entrants need to be transported by their supporters to the start line on McCallum's Mill Rd; 20km entrants will be bussed to their start line at Oparara Basin.
