The New Zealand Masters Games is the largest multi-sport event in New Zealand, with the indoor triathlon from Monday, 5 February to Thursday, 8 February 2018.
The indoor triathlon is a 30 minute time trial, consisting of 10 minutes rowing, 10minutes cycling and 10 minutes on the treadmill. There is a one minutes rest in between each activity for the solo event. The team event has a minimum of two and maximum of three competitors with no rest in between. The winners are the athletes who cover the most distance in their age group in the allocated time.
Held annually, the New Zealand Masters Games alternates between Wanganui and Dunedin, with the 29th edition held in Dunedin from 3 to 11 February 2018.
