The Mount Difficulty Ascent in Cromwell on Saturday, 13 June 2015 is an extreme marathon or half marathon, and is part of the Oceania SkyRunning Series.

This is run on the same day as the Rustic Run & Walk, which is an easy to moderate fun-oriented event that compliments the extreme event that is the Mt Difficulty Ascent.

This is an adventure run, meaning you can't run all of this course. The ups are really UP! ou’ll be hands on knees, puffing just to walk, at times you will be using your hands to help you scramble up some dirty, rocky slopes, maybe churning through snow.
