Run/Walk Off Road/Trail Short Long Superlong Ultra 5K

The Great Kauri Run on Saturday, 5 May 2018 is a 70km ultra marathon and 32km, 23km & 12km trail run or walk which takes place on the stunningly beautiful Coromandel Peninsula.

There is also a 5km walk/run circuit from the town which is for families and children.

200 years ago most of the Coromandel peninsula was covered in Kauri Forest. Today very few of these majestic giants of the forest remain.

A kauri tree will be planted along the trail for each person that participates in the event and the vision is to plant 10,000 trees over the next ten years and to create an avenue of Kauri all the way from Waikawau to Coromandel.
