The Glen Eden 10 Miler and 5km Fun Runs on Sunday, 17 September 2017 are organised by the Glen Eden Athletic and Harrier Club, with the assistance of Lactic Turkey Events from 2015.

This event is not being held in 2018 due to the costly and increasing fees involved (especially for traffic management), difficulties in finding sponsorship, and the safety of runners given increasing traffic along a mostly un-footpathed route.

Enjoy the beautiful Waitakeres in the famous 10 mile (16.1km) road run, or try the 5 or 2km fun runs. The 10-Miler starts at Ceramco Park in Glen Eden and sees runners race along Scenic Drive, West Coast and Glendale roads. The fun runs make use of local walking tracks.
