The Cheviot Hills Run and Ride is a fun run and ride on Sunday, 23 October 2016 at the Cheviot Hills Reserve in North Canterbury organised by the Cheviot Lions Club.
There is a 6km (1 lap) distance for walkers, 6km run (1 lap) for juniors, and 12km run (2 laps) for open and veteran competitors.
The run course runs through century old oak and eucalyptus trees, to plantations of ash, pine and natives. The first section of the course comprises undulating 4wd and single track weaving through the Reserve and adjacent to the Jed River, then out the drive, along the foot path around the out side of the reserve then re-entering the reserve to the cricket pavilion.
