The Whangamata Run/Walk Festival on Saturday September 10th 2011 has Half Marathon, 10K and 5K events. It starts and ends at the Whangamata Area School, Port Road, Whangamata.
The 5K is a flat course around the town streets. The 10K is partly around town and also out on SH52. The Half Marathon starts with a town circuit, then out on to SH52 with a turn around 1km north of Top Pub and back to town again. All courses start and end at the Whangamata Area School on Port Road.
