This is a copy of the weekly newsletter from the New Zealand Running Calendar sent by email on October 1st 2012 covering website updates, interesting articles and blog posts, competitions, recently added and updated event pages, events coming up over the next two weeks, and group training.
I'm currently working a fairly major re-jig of the way event pages are laid out on the website to make it a lot easier to see information at a glance. For this reason (and it being the the school holidays) there will be no updates to the website this week. I should hopefully roll the changes out early next week, which will include the most requested feature: the ability to search multiple regions at once.
I wrote about the Abel Tasman Coastal Classic in my blog, which I ran in the weekend before last. The event may appear a little pricey at first glance at $195 but it's a whole day experience including lunch and a buffet prize giving dinner at the end. Read more.
The winners of the three entries into the Waitakere City Charity Half Marathon or 11K in Auckland on Sunday October 14th 2012 are Chloe Shaigan, Mike Duckett and Aneel Ravji. Event details.
