What's coming up over the next two weeks?

Saturday March 19th 2011

• The Kaiteriteri Gold Half Marathon and 10K near Motueka/Nelson.
• The Tarawera Ultramarathon in Rotorua with 60K, 85K (solo or team relay) and 100K options
• The Triple Peaks Challenge in Havelock North - a 47K (solo or team) mountain run. There's also a duathlon.

Sunday March 20th 2011

• The Coatesville Classic in Auckland with Half Marathon and 8K options. I'm running the half marathon.
• Kaka Point to Bridge Beach in Balclutha with Half Marathon and 8K options
• Mauku 5K and 10K in Mauku near Pukekohe
• Mt Lyford and Mt Terako Challenge in North Canterbury with 20K, 9K, 4K and junior 3K moutain run options.

Saturday March 26th 2011

• Northburn Station 100miler, 100K and 50K in Cromwell, Central Otago
• Te Houtaewa Challenge on 90 Mile Beach with 60K, Marathon, Half Marathon, 60K Relay and 6K walk options.
• The Dual on Auckland's Mototapu and Rangitoto with Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K options. I'm running the half marathon.

Sunday March 27th 2011

• ADRA Charity Run in Hamilton with 10K and 5K options
• Mt Lowry Challenge at Day's Bay in Wellington with 22K and 11.75K mountain runs.
• Omaha Classic Fun Run/Walk at Omaha north of Auckland with a 10K, 5K and 2.5K kids dash
• Run Auckland at the Waiatarua Reserve with 5K and 10K options. I'm running the 10K.

All events listed below are weekly unless otherwise noted in italics.

Mondays

• The Monday Nighta in Orewa 5K/10K at 6:15pm until March 28th
• Pakuranga 5K at 6:10pm from February 7th until April 25th
• Northcote 5K at 6:15pm until March 29th
• Kapiti Harriers 5K Series from 6:15pm from December 6th to March 21st (fortnightly)
• The Honest Lawyer 5K Series in Nelson from 6pm from Jan 24th to Mar 28th

Tuesdays

• O'Hagan's 5K Series at 6:00pm
• Waterfront 5K in Wellington at 5:30pm until April
• AdiRun Newmarket at 6:00pm from February 1st with 5K, 7K and 10K options
• State Beach Series 2.5K/5K at 6:15pm until March 22nd
• Eastside 2K/5K in Hamilton at 6:05pm until March 29th
• Bluewater 5 Series in Napier from Feb 1st to Mar 22nd with 2K and 5K options

Wednesdays

• The Rat Race 5K in Milford, Auckland at 6:00pm
• Waitakere 5K at 6:15pm
• Waimea 5K in Richmond from 6:00pm until March 30th
• Trentham United 5K Series from 6:15pm from Jan 26th to Mar 23rd (fortnightly)

Thursdays

• YMCA Auckland Domain 10K from 5:30pm until March 31st
• Devonport Sun Run at 6:00pm until April 28th

Recent Competition Winners

- Judth Fanning from Christchuch won a free entry to the Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon on May 14th
- Jo Cooper won a free entry to Kaiteriteri Gold on Saturday March 19th. She'll be walking the 10K.
- Daniel Mar from Pakuranga won a free entry to Run Auckland at Waiatarua on Sunday March 27th

Until Next Week...

Have a great running week. I have a busy 8 days coming up with the Coatesville Classic Half Marathon on Sunday 20th, The Dual Half Marathon on Saturday 26th and Run Auckland 10K on Sunday 27th. I did The Dual and Run Auckland last year and managed to still run the 10K pretty well, but this year I have the added "fun" of the Coatesville Classic the week before so I suspect I'll be fairly tired on Monday 28th!
