The Turakina Road Race is a 27km run or walk as part of the annual Turakina Highland Games in Turakina, south of Wanganui. It can be run or walked solo, or as a 2 person or 4 person team relay.
The course starts in Turakina township at St George's Anglican Church car park and runs clockwise down SH3, right in to Turakina Valley Road, right in to Waimutu Road, right in to Fern Flats Road, right in to Wanganui Road (Marton-Turakina Road) to return to Turakina, across SH3 and up Cameron Road to finish at Caledonian Grounds, Turakina. Listen for the bagpipes as you approach the finish!
