The Taniwha on the Waikato River Trails

The Taniwha

The Taniwha is a point to point trail run on the Waikato River Trails. There are 58km ultramarathon, 42km marathon, 21km half marathon, 14km and 7km event options. The 58K can be run solo, or in a team of 2, 3 or 4 people. There are also mountain bike events but these are not covered on this running calendar website.

Whatever you choose to do, you will be exposed to single track, swing bridges, gravel paths, boardwalks, wide open reserves, and a number of dam crossings along the way. This event is brought to you by TotalSport in partnership with the Waikato River Trails Trust.
