The Alert Plumbing Solarman Steelman Ironmaiden in Waiuku on Saturday November 10th 2012 has a half marathon and 8.5K running events as well as the main multisport event, duathlon and kids run/bike event. Just the running events are covered here in the New Zealand Running Calendar.
The run and walk options use the running leg of the multisport course which runs through farmland and along the rugged West Coast beach before heading back up through farmland, down onto the road and back to the finish at the Waiuku Rugby Club. The Half Marathon adds 4.1km to the run leg.
The map below shows the approximation locations of the 1) Half Marathon start, 2) 8.5K start, and 3) finish location at the Waiuku Rugby Clubs Grounds for both events.
