The annual Alpine Lodge Loop the Lake is an approximately 25km off-road anticlockwise circuit of Lake Rotoiti. Lake Rotoiti is in the Nelson Lakes National Park, near Nelson and Blenheim. Entry is strictly limited to 400 entrants only.
The course is an off-road trail run and there is a required equipment checklist: a polypropylene or equivalent top, hat and gloves; windproof parka/jacket; whistle; and a survival blanket. If you do not have these items you will not be allowed to race. See the event website (linked to below) for more details.
