The Kawerau King of the Mountain is an approximately 7km run up and down Mount Putauaki in Kawerau. It is organised by the Kawerau Harrier Club.
The race starts at Firmin Field, Waterhouse St, Kawerau. The route up and down the mountain is marked, and you must go through the checkpoint at the top of the mountain. See the official website (link below) for more details and to see a drawing of the mountain.
