The annual Great Lake Relay is an annual team relay event where 10 to 18 members run or walk the 155kms around Lake Taupo; a shorter team relay event for teams of 5 to 8 covering 67.5km; and a solo 67.5km event.
The Great Lake Relay consists of 10 to 18 members running or walking 1 or 2 legs each. There are 18 legs in total with distances between 5.2km and 14.4km.
The Length of the Lake Relay consists of 5 to 8 members running or walking 1 or 2 legs each. There are 8 legs in total with distances between 4.7km and 15km.
The Length of the Lake Solo event has a single person running 67.5km starting from Pukawa Reserve at the southern end of Lake Taupo.
