The New Zealand Running Calendar is run by Chris Hope, a New Zealand based web developer and marathon runner. I will try to help you with your enquiry where I can, but please note I am not associated in any way with any of the events listed on this website.
1. I entered event XYZ but haven't received confirmation of entry or payment.
I don't organise events, so check with the event organisers. The event listing on this website will contain a "More Information and Useful Links" section. On some of the event listings I provide a direct link to the contact page on their website; if there's one there use that to click through to find their contact details.
If a contact details link isn't there, click through to their website using the first link in that section to go through to the official event website.
2. I'm an athelete from Ethiopia/Kenya/etc and would like an entry invitation to event XYZ.
I don't organise events, I just list them on this website. Refer to the answer under question 1 above.
3. Does it cost to have an event listed on your website?
No, listing an event is free. Simply email me the details using the email address at the bottom of this page. Ideally you'll have a website or Facebook page with more details that you can direct me to.
It always pays to check the calendar first as I may already have your event listed. I pro-actively add and update listings all the time and have several automated processes that run to alert me when new information about events becomes available.
4. Can I list my group training sessions?
Yes, but these don't appear in the main calendar list to prevent "clutter". There's a separate Group Training section on the website (see the navigation at the top of the page) which contains summaries of all the listed group training and then a link through to a page formatted the same as a regular event. Again, email me the details using the address at the bottom of this page and provide a website etc where possible.
5. What does it cost to advertise in the advertising space on the right side?
