The City2Surf in Christchurch is an annual running and walking event, currently with 6km and 14km events. It had to be cancelled for the first time in 38 years in 2011 due to the Christchurch earthquake but returned in 2012 with a new route.
Entry includes: certificate & refreshment at finish line, live music and free kids entertainment, free entry into Ferrymead Heritage Park (with entry sticker), and chance to win thousands of spot prizes and entry into the major prize draw!
The map below shows the approximate locations of 1) the 14K start at Pioneer Stadium's Centennial Park 2) the 6K start at Opawa School and 3) Ferrymead Park where both events end up.
