The Ports of Auckland Round the Bays is a 8.4km run or walk starting at Quay Street (between Tinley St and The Strand Overbridge) along Tamaki Drive and finishing at Vellenoweth Green in St Heliers Bay.
This popular annual event attracts around 40,000 registered runners and 70,000 participants. It is currently organised as a joint collaboration between the Auckland Joggers Club and Fairfax Media and has been run each year since 1972.
